The festivals is a time for celebrations, laughter, and making memories. But as much as we love the festivities, by the time they are over, the home turns into post décor mess.
Stay ahead of the post -festival mess while juggling daily routines. Post-festival organization doesn’t have to feel impossible. You can turn the chaos into a clean, calming space that’s ready for another festival.
I’ll share few practical tips to get organized even with regular routine around.

Reset your home and mind!
- Pull out: Once your Festivals or parties are over. Pull the décor items from walls, tables, fireplace mantles, dining tables or any other places at the centre of floor or table top or where you can possibly spread out. Toss out torn papers, garlands, balloons or any broken decorative items. This little step will make a huge difference.
- Find place to store: Designate a spot in your home for all festival décor related items like Gifts bags, garlands, candles, Diya, ribbons, led lights. Categories further with items you have. Every home have different décor items other than common one.
- Find storage: You can repurpose old cardboard boxes and paper bags for keeping décor items or buy new bins, boxes with lid. Choice is yours, as you are responsible for pulling out boxes for next festival. Label all the boxes as per the category. Place all sorted items in respective boxes.
Hurray! You are done!
- Replace décor items: Every year new décor trends flood the market. We love to buy new things, but fail to realise the stock we hold on to. A quick tip, is to donate , so you enjoy new décor piece and do not regret the old ones.
- Few more tips: Use zip lock bags for small items, bubble wrap for delicate items, place dividers in box for fragile items. Boxes can also be organized by theme, occasion or specific festivals.

By storing festival decoration items in place, they remain in good condition and ready for use in future occasion. Moreover pre preparations of festival can be smooth, Hassel-free, without much stress.
